We want to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who was involved in Awaken Covington, especially to those who volunteered their time and energy and to those who faithfully prayed for the event, start to end. The good news is Awaken Covington is not finished. Our hope had been to conclude the event with an outdoor worship service at the Covington Trailhead. We still hope to organize this service. Our plan is to host a one night Awaken event this fall in downtown Covington, once the weather cools off. Stay tuned for updates.
Christians in Covington need to awaken to the truths that we live on a mission field, that the Great Commission is our standing orders for today, that the kingdom of God is bigger than any single congregation, and that the church on the Northshore is in desperate need of revival.
‘And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed’ (Romans 13:11)

How to Get Involved
Prayer: we need people committing themselves to pray for the event.
Publicity: we want the entire Christian community in Covington to know about this event. How will this happen? The best method is word of mouth.
Photography: we will need people willing to take pictures each evening and post them on social media.
Musicians: there is still need for musicians who are willing to lead worship.
Sound People: we need volunteers who are skilled and willing to run the sound system.
Sweet Tea and Popsicles: we hope to have popsicles for kids and sweet tea for all.
Odd Jobs: there are small tasks needing to be completed by any people willing to run errands or do simple chores.
If you would like to volunteer or contribute to this event, please contact Joe Barnard, (985) 284-1366, email@example.com or fill out this form online.
Who Is Organizing This?
This event is being organized by three friends who decided to meet at St. John’s Coffee Shop in order to talk about the spiritual needs of Covington: Seth Stiles (Assistant Pastor, Northshore Bible Church), Joe Barnard (Cross Training Ministries), and Denny Johnson (member of Christ Community Church). We have no agenda other than to see Christ glorified and His people revived.
‘Revival begins by Christians getting right first and then spills over into the world’ (Charles Spurgeon)
